Hey guys,
How have ya’ll been doing?
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on the site. Feels good to be back in the swing of things with this little update.
I’ve been busy working on a few different things. I had the pleasure getting to sit down backstage in between rehearsals at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina with David Curran – Who was catching his breath before getting started on a rehearsal that would run until 4:00am the next morning. (Still think you have what it takes to be a hard working Worship Musician?)
David is a really special guy… He is a musical genius and is one of the most humble people I have ever met. Seriously… We had the chance to talk about what he likes to hear from a drummer, how he memorizes songs and prepares for a mentally challenging set, as well as what excites him about being a worship leader. He’s not a drummer, but his advice could not be more valuable. In-fact, this is my favorite interview I’ve had the pleasure of hosting on behalf of WorshipDrummer yet. I also think it’s one of the most informative things a drummer…No… Worship team could listen to and embrace. Be blessed.
[tentblogger-youtube zirYR-LP9jA]You’ll be able to hear David’s playing on Elevation Worship’s new live recording “Wake Up the Wonder” available November 25th 2014.
Lee Worley and Luke Anderson shared drumming duties on the new live album, playing parts that are as equally to-the-point as they are unexpected and mind-bending-ly good.
In the mean time you can tune in to www.elevationchurch.org and catch a live worship experience where you can expect David to be laying down the silkiest bass lines you’ve ever head with Luke Anderson or Domenic Geralds on drums.
