WorshipDrummer.ca is One Year Old

[pic via mjpi]

Wow! Ladies and gents, has it really been one year already? Actually, it’s been one year, one month and one week. How cool is that, I waited to write this post so all the ones would align! πŸ™‚

WorshipDrummer.ca is One Year Old

To be completely honest, the last month or so has been a blur. I started a new position as associate pastor at new church, I renovated my office there, my wife and I are looking for a house, and we are deciding what to do with our cars and commuting situation… oh ya, and on March 9. 2012, worshipdrummer.ca turned one year old.

For a long while I was thinking of a grand way to celebrate our one year, like giving away the New iPad, hosting a free drum clinic, or doing a massive blog giveaway. But before I knew it, it was April and I totally missed the month altogether.

But that’s OK!

You see, you don’t need to wait for the passing of one year to celebrate something good. We should be able to take time to count our blessings anytime we stop and think about it.

Jon Manna and Carl Albrecht - WorshipDrummers

And so now is a good a time as any for us to stop and celebrate!

  • Man Jon, the biggest blessing of all this has been the community. It’s nice to see you post about something and have drummer from all over chime in there thoughts as well. It’s be a rad experience and I’m excited to see what another year brings us.

New around here, but it’s been a great learning tool to see what others are doing

Thanks God for Worship Drummer! You guys have truly served the drumming community. Can’t wait to see how God will keep using you guys. It would be cool to get a behind the scenes look at a drummer in a live performance. Blessings!!

Im also new here but its nice to see a website geared towards drummers of faith, who aren’t just making music but helping lead others into worship. It would be fun to compare set lists and setups to get an idea of how drummers in the worship community are doing things. Excited to see what the future holds for worshipdrummer.ca keep up the awesome work!

  • John Anthony says:

I found worshipdrummer.ca like a month ago and i think ive read almost every post on the site. Im 19 and a drummer for my church and ive learned so many cool tips and tricks off this website. An example would be the recommended apps. I bought the “tempo” app and its awesome. I would always forget my big ol’ tama rhythm watch at home but because of this site and i never forget my phone or metronome. Plus the conversation with Jared of Desperation Band is super encouraging.

Something i would like to see off this site is more conversations with different drummers and discussing preferred gear (cymbals, sticks, heads, etc.) and how they prepare their heart before a live set. And also seeing more drum lessons maybe in rudimental drumming, or even a play along with a song.

    Thanks Worshipdrummer.ca

Hey John Anthony! Thanks for your input. We are seriously looking at doing a few more interviews… as for drum lessons/drum covers… they are something that we are considering doing, just need the studio space to do it πŸ™‚ … but we’ll get there.

  • I’m a worship leader in Chattanooga, TN and I’m always looking for new insights about worship and words of wisdom for worship leaders and I love hearing about what God is doing through worship all over the place! It’s a beautiful thing! You guys keep doing what you’re doing…it’s working!
